This post is all about Day 2 of my Everest Base Camp journey, covering the stretch from Phakding (2610m) to Namche Bazar (3440m). That’s an 830m altitude gain through some of Nepal’s most scenic trails.

                                        

The locals say it takes 6 hours, but as a storyteller and explorer, I took around 8 hours — because every corner demanded a moment of admiration. From crossing hanging bridges to hearing the thunder of the Dudh Koshi River, this trail captures the soul of the Himalayas.
