Lunch at Jorsalle III – Warm Momo, Mountain Air & Trekking Spirit | EBC Day 2
During Day 2 of my Everest Base Camp Trek, we stopped at Jorsalle III, a quiet and scenic resting point before the steep climb to Namche Bazaar. We went into the Friendship Lodge & Restaurant, a cozy spot that felt welcoming in the chill mountain air.
I ordered Momo with soup, a classic Himalayan comfort meal. The momo was warm and flavorful, perfect for a trek day. I’ve decided to keep my meal pattern simple during this trek — momo, thukpa, chowmein for lunch and dal-bhat for dinner to restore energy.
My guide brought the food along with ketchup and chili sauce, which felt like a thoughtful touch. These small gestures, simple food, and shared moments are what make trekking so meaningful.
