Mysuru Day 2 – Exploring Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens | Mysore Zoo Travel Guide

Welcome to Wanderer’s Way! 🌿

On Day 2 of my Mysuru trip, I visited the famous Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens, also known as Mysore Zoo — established in 1892 by Maharaja Chamarajendra Wadiyar.
After independence, it became a state government asset and remains one of India’s most iconic wildlife parks.

Since the main gate was under maintenance, entry was via a clean, well-maintained underground subway — quite unique!
Entry fees are ₹100 for adults and ₹50 for children, with ₹200 for cameras. Visiting hours run from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

If you want to cover the zoo quickly, hop on the charging vehicle — it’s the best way to explore without missing any exhibits! 🦁
